Current Students

Welcome and thanks for choosing the Horticulture Technology program at the Thompson School of Applied Science. As professors, we find being part of this program to be extremely satisfying and rewarding. Our curriculum, faculty and facilities are focused on hands-on learning. We look forward to working with you and would like to share three key points with our students:

“You are in charge of your education. Faculty and staff provide a support structure of knowledge, experience, and guidance, but in the end, you determine your path—your effort and level of achievement. Work to balance school, friends, fun, and reflection; (I'm still trying myself).”- John Hart

“College is a great opportunity. Maximize the experience by effectively managing your time and having a positive outlook.”- Dana Samson

“Make the best of the opportunity you have earned. Apply yourself to the task at hand and learn to balance the professional, technical and social experiences you will discover here at UNH.”- Chris Robarge

We’re here to partner with you on your career path. So please schedule an appointment with your advisor, at least once a semester, to be sure you have covered all your bases.

Remember when you get an email from Assistant Director, Cynthia Giguère, take a moment and read it. You’ll be surprised how much useful information she will forward to you. For additional information check out the links that will help answer questions you may have during the semester. Also use the Thompson School Student Organization in Blackboard for a wealth of information and resources.

Keep up-to-date on all your assignments and if you find yourself having difficulties drop in and speak with your advisor or one of your instructors.
